Diagnosis

• More than 6 weeks 

• Recurrent of hives, with or without angioedema, 

  • > 3 days/week persisting for ≥ 6 weeks

• Urticaria = sudden appearance of wheals, angioedema, or both. 

  • 3 typical features

    • central swelling of variable size, surrounded by a reflex erythema

    • itching or sometimes burning

    • fleeting nature, usually resolve within 1–24 h.
